Books were scattered all over Meena's house yet she refused to open any until the family cat, Max, accidentally knocked down a large stack of the books and their characters fell out.
Meena was forced to read each book in order to find out how to return the characters back.
Once she returned each character to their proper book, she realized she wanted to know more about their stories and ultimately shocked her parents with her new found love of reading.
I thought the use of animation within this short film was great, in terms of using popular children's stories from various cultural communities.
Another example of a good story told with animation is called “This Side Up “.
Liron Topaz created this story about a naive and technologically challenged music-lover’s patience being tested on his quest to download music online.
In the end, his perspective on technology completely changes.
These examples illustrate the strength and essential qualities of animated story telling.
Their application affords upcoming generations of artists and animators other avenues to generate original and creative content.
